Homework

The Collins School 3rd and 4th graders use a game-based software to boost their Math comprehension and proficiency. ST MATH is visual and interactive. ST MATH is fully aligned to the new Common Core Math Standards and is intended to develop deep understanding of Math concepts in a hands on manner. Our students are able to continue learning outside of the school by accessing ST MATH from home.

Staff Directory

The Paramount Unified School District has implemented a typing program that can be accessed from home. TYPE to LEARN will improve our students typing speed and accuracy by teaching students how to type more efficiently. TYPE to LEARN builds critical 21st Century skills for all keyboarding students in grades 2nd - 5th at Collins School. TYPE to LEARN can be accessed anywhere our students have an internet connection.

Departments

PTA stands for Parent Teacher Association, PTA is a volunteer association where parents, educators, students, and other citizens can be active in their schools and communities.

We ask parents for a $8.00 membership fee. The PTA relies mostly on fundraising to help support the school.

Collins School PTA will use the money to:
Support school field trips
Support Red Ribbon Week and other gang/drug prevention programs
Support Reading Programs and activities (school wide)
Engage in fundraising to support parent involvement programs and events

Help us raise money for scholarships! Join us for our first Quartermania event!

On Wednesday, October 11, our district will host it's first ever Quartermania fundraising event. This is a fun evening where participants will have the opportunity to bid a quarter or two on items provided by local businesses. Proceeds from the event go to scholarships for PUSD students. Last year, PUSD raised over $100,000 for scholarships; we are hoping to double that number this year! Please see the flyer for more details about the event.

Community Feedback Needed: New High School Name

The Paramount Unified School District will be opening a new small high school that will specialize in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in 2018. With Board policy as a guide and suggestions from the public, a committee of stakeholders collaboratively identified four potential names for the school. We would like some feedback from you on these names! Please take this brief survey to see the names, learn more about them, and select your favorite. Thank you for helping!
