OUR MISSION & VISION
Captain Raymond Collins Elementary School is committed to guiding, teaching, and providing opportunities for the growth of all students in order to ensure their learning and success now and into the future. We believe that all students are entitled to a safe learning environment in which they are provided rigorous, standards-based  instruction.  Through high expectations for all, we envision a college and career ready student body who exemplify the attributes of good citizenship.  We seek to create a school environment that achieves equity for all and ensures  that each student is a successful learner, encompassing the whole child: social, emotional, and academic.

Virtual Backpack

This Virtual Backpack contains the important notices and flyers that are sent home with your child from the main office. Information is available in both English and Spanish.  This page gives you the opportunity to keep up-to-date with school activities and announcements with just the click of a mouse.  Click on the events you would like to view.

PTA stands for Parent Teacher Association, PTA is a volunteer association where parents, educators, students, and other citizens can be active in their schools and communities.
 
We ask parents for a $8.00 membership fee. The PTA relies mostly on fundraising to help support the school.
 
Collins School PTA will use the money to:
Support school field trips
Support Red Ribbon Week and other gang/drug prevention programs
Support Reading Programs and activities (school wide)
Engage in fundraising to support parent involvement programs and events
