Collins United 2020

Dear Collins Community,
I want you to know that I have been a part of our wonderful community for over 27 years. Our diversity within our community and on our campus is a strength of ours. I will be consistently working with all stakeholders to empower our children/students in becoming respected leaders on and off campus. Our mission will be to ensure our children leave Collins as well-rounded, productive citizens and prepared for middle school!
However, during this unprecedented situation, a Team United 2020 understands that  being physically separated, does not mean it is of less importance. On the contrary, it is of the utmost importance that we allow our students to voice how they feel in a safe learning environment that provides guidance and instruction.
Our new TEAM is a work in progress, but know that we are here for you. Please be sure to monitor our Collins Schoology Groups for further updates and or opportunities! Please contact our office for any assistance and support.
Thank you Colts for all that you do!                Lynn Butler, Principal

2020-21 School Year News!

First Day of School
On Wednesday, August 19, 2020, students will log into Classlink and click on the Schoology icon. Students will then click on their classroom course. Your child should see an announcement from the teacher with further instructions.
We suggest that students log into Schoology at 8:15 am in order to establish a “start time” routine and familiarize themselves with their classroom course in Schoology.
Class Conferences will start at 8:30 am on 8/19/2020.
To join: Find  the word “Conferences” on the left side of the class course page and click on it.

Get Involved

PTA stands for Parent Teacher Association, PTA is a volunteer association where parents, educators, students, and other citizens can be active in their schools and communities.
We ask parents for a $8.00 membership fee. The PTA relies mostly on fundraising to help support the school.
Collins School PTA will use the money to:
Support school field trips
Support Red Ribbon Week and other gang/drug prevention programs
Support Reading Programs and activities (school wide)
Engage in fundraising to support parent involvement programs and events
